Due to bridge work at Burlington, Iowa, the "California Zephyr" is detouring on the Union Pacific between Omaha and Chicago on October 22 and 23, 2011. Here is the first detour of the weekend as Amtrak #6 passes through Ames, Iowa just after ten o'clock. At the beginning of the first clip, you can hear the dispatcher talking to Amtrak. I apologize for the shakiness; it gets better. After a photo (that doesn't shake), the second clip shows the "Zephyr" passing by led by a SD70M.
